Doug Peterson visited Gene Rinaldi today. Gene is in the hospice unit at Candlewood Valley Rehab in New Milford. He is suffering from pancreatic cancer with no treatment options.
He told Doug he would welcome visitors (for short periods) and a chance to talk about trips and fishing you might have shared with him. He feels that his fishing experiences were a huge bright spot in his life. Yankee baseball is a hot topic, too. As you may know, Gene loves being with a crowd and hamming it up. If you have any photos that would be great.

He is not in pain, but tires easily. You can imagine he welcomes comfort.
