Our guest speaker for our first meeting this fall is Paul McCain of River Bay Outfitters in Baldwin, NY on Long Island. Paul has been an avid fly fisherman for 30 years. He has fished in South America, Montana and up and down the East Coast. Paul runs his family owned fly shop in Baldwin and provides guided trips and "Shop Trips" to a variety of locations on Long Island, upstate New York and even the Farmington in CT.

Paul has fished and organizes trips all over the tri-state area as well as in Montana and Alaska. He is skilled in catching trout, steelhead, and saltwater species. He is a past president of the Long Island Flyrodders and is a co-founder of the Long Island Fly Fishing Expo where all proceeds go to charity. At River Bay Outfitters he teaches numerous fly fishing/tying classes and is a New York State licensed guide. Paul dedicates much of his time helping beginners enjoy the sport of flyfishing and his energy is contagious.

At our meeting Paul will be sharing the secrets of fly fishing on Long Island. He has a wealth of experience as his is the only Fly Shop on Long Island that is dedicated to Fly Fishing and the art of Fly Tying.

We'll start up our monthly fly swap again as well, so look for details on what patterns we'll be swapping this fall.
