‘ECOCYCLE’ YOUR CHRISTMAS TREE
Saturday, January 8th from 9am to 12noon drop-off at deep brook kiosk down off “old farm road” behind the Newtown park & bark.
Volunteers from the Candlewood Valley chapter of Trout Unlimited & Pootatuck Watershed Association will turn your natural Christmas trees into important habitat for wild trout in the Deep Brook. Your tree will join others in helping stabilize streambanks, reduce erosion and create refuge habitat for juvenile trout and other aquatic life. A healthy trout environment means a healthy aquifer system!
Please no synthetic trees or trees with tinsel or flocking please
