Help CVTU engage the next generation of conservationists in New Milford this week, as students who have been raising Trout in the Classroom with the Pratt Nature Center, release their trout and learn fly casting.
One or two volunteers are needed Thursday May 20th at 2 pm or Friday, May 21 at 1 pm to help teach fly casting. You don’t have to be an expert angler to help these students learn the basics.
After volunteering, feel free to stick around and try catching some of the wild brown trout in the east Aspetuck River flowing through the Pratt Center property. CVTU has been restoring the streambank here with plantings thanks to an “Embrace A Stream” grant from Trout Unlimited.
