Fishing the Hendrickson Hatch with Derrick Kirkpatrick
Please put our March Chapter Meeting on your calendars for Wednesday, March 8th, at 7:00pm at Edmond Town Hall. Our presenter this month is none other than Derrick Kirkpatrick.
Born in Milford Connecticut, Derrick picked up fishing at the age of 6. He started out hitting local ponds in the area and then moved on to a more skillful level of angling. At age 11, Derrick purchased a cheap fly rod and taught himself to cast. He expanded his species list targeting trout, striped bass, and carp; both spin and fly. He has been guiding the Farmington river and other CT waters since 1998.
Some of our members may recall his presentation with Zach St. Amand in December of 2020, when they presented Winter Fishing Tips to our chapter. Derrick is well schooled in all aspects of Fly Fishing and is an excellent presenter.
You won’t want to miss this meeting and his presentation on how to fish the Hendrickson Hatch.
