Our March chapter gathering will feature Chris Sullivan. Chris is currently a PhD Candidate at the University of Connecticut studying cold-water-dependent fish use of thermal refuges during heat events. Chris's research is centered around understanding the 'rules of the game' regarding how fish use these areas, and strives to transfer his research findings into practical conservation approaches. Prior to his current position, Chris conducted research on a suite of fish species in rivers and lakes throughout the Midwest, largely focusing on invasive species ecology. You can check out Chris's published work here; feel free to reach out for copies of papers of interest.
As usual we will gather at Stony Hill Fire Department in Bethel at 7:00 pm for pizza and beverages. Followed by our 50/50 raffle and monthly chapter update.
