Oct. 10th: Euro/Tactical Nymphing for Steelhead

By  |

October 10, 2018 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm

(Please note: this month’s meeting will be held at My Place Restaurant at 8 Queen St. in Newtown)

Join us on October 10th as Joe Goodspeed from Thomas & Thomas fly rods will discuss how we can use technical nymphing tactics to hook more Great Lakes steelhead.  This presentation will highlight the new 10’8” 6wt Contact nymph rod from Thomas & Thomas, and how to achieve a range of presentation styles with that type of equipment.

You may remember Joe from an earlier presentation to the chapter on pike and musky fishing techniques. He also has more than two decades of experience targeting fall-run Great Lakes steelhead, and his understanding of these fish and how to effectively target them will benefit steelhead anglers of all skill levels.

The chapter meeting is held the second Wednesday of each month — doors open at 7 p.m. with pizza and drinks, and the meeting begins at 7:30. A reminder that the meeting location has been moved to My Place Restaurant at 8 Queen St. in Newtown. See you there!
