November 9th: European Nymphing Techniques with Dave Surowiecki

By  |

November 9, 2016 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm

Join us on November 9th as CVTU secretary Dave Surowiecki shares everything he knows about the European styles of nymphing. Dave will walk you through everything from tackle to techniques, tactics and flies. Do you love fishing with a bobber? Do you love casting with split shot on your line? Dave doesn’t. And that’s why he’ll help you get set up to nymph the European way — long rods, light lines, weighted nymphs, and perfect drifts with nothing between you and your flies. Dave will share the techniques and approaches he has learned on our Connecticut rivers, but proven on Polish, Czech and Slovenian trout on his travels over the past few years.

The meeting is free and open to members, guests and the general public. It is held at Stony Hill Fire Department, 59 Stony Hill Road, Bethel and starts at 7:30 p.m. but doors open at 7 p.m. for pizza, soda and some good conversation with fellow anglers. Don’t miss out on the raffle too.
