September 14th: Long Island Sound techniques and locations with Jimmy O.
• September 14, 2016 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm
Join us on September 14th at 7:00 p.m. for a presentation on Long Island Sound fishing by James Orifice, aka Jimmy O, owner of Jimmy O’s Bait and Tackle in Bridgeport. Jimmy will share with you the locations, access points, and techniques to catch the many species of game fish that inhabit Long Island Sound.
He will share his knowledge gained from over 40 of years fishing the Sound and the waters of eastern Rhode Island.
The evening’s presentation will cover fishing with both fly and conventional tackle for striped bass, bluefish, fluke, and the fall-favorite, false albacore and bonito.
Come and enjoy our first speaker of the fall season, and Jimmy O will give you the information you need to catch fish until Christmas in Long Island Sound.
The meeting is free and open to members, guests and the general public. It is held at Stony Hill Fire Department, 59 Stony Hill Road, Bethel and starts at 7:30 p.m. but doors open at 7 p.m. for pizza, soda and some good conversation with fellow anglers. Don’t miss out on the raffle too.
