March 9th: Nymphing Techniques with Aaron Jasper

By  |

March 9, 2016 7:00 pm to 9:30 pm

Join us as we welcome author and guide Aaron Jasper for a wide-ranging discussion on advanced nymphing techniques. Aaron is one of the country’s foremost authorities on modern nymphing styles and tactics, and has published several well-known DVDs about the subject. This is really a great chance to learn about European nymphing techniques and other styles from one of the best anglers around. Aaron is a strong proponent of the idea that fly fishermen should constantly evolve to become better at their craft, learning not only modern techniques but also look back through history and analyze all methods available to encourage a constant state of evolution. Even though our sport’s practices are subject to constant change, sometimes evolving dictates that you look back to methods long forgotten.

The meeting is free and open to members, guests and the general public. It is held at Stony Hill Fire Department, 59 Stony Hill Road, Bethel and starts at 7:30 p.m. but doors open at 7 p.m. for pizza, soda and some good conversation with fellow anglers. Don’t miss out on the raffle too
