October Meeting: Kensington Hatchery Manager
• October 8, 2014 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm
Al Sonski, Manager of the Connecticut DEEP’s Kensington Fish Hatchery will be joining us to discuss the Kensington operation and fish hatchery practices at the state level. The Kensington Hatchery is the home to both the Atlantic Salmon Brood Stock efforts but also to the Seeforellen Brown Trout cultures which provide a long-lived, large growing strain of Brown Trout for stocking in state waters.
As always, we will have pizza, great conversation, new fish stories and a cash bar. Don’t forget to pick up your raffle tickets too. You might head home with new some new reading material, a fly box (perhaps with a few flies), hats, maybe even a six-pack of beer. Who knows what Kit will cook up for this month’s raffle. Stop by and find out.
