February Meeting: Steve Culton, Wet Flies 101
• February 11, 2014 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm
During the past decade I like to think I’ve become competent in many of the techniques we use to catch fish. But there’s one technique that still seems a mystery: wet flies. Fortunately we have an expert joining us in February to demystify the art of wet fly fishing.
Join us on Tuesday, February 11th for an evening program with Steve Culton. Steve is a Connecticut-based guide and author who I’ve had the pleasure to fish with several times. Steve’s skill and effectiveness swinging a wet fly complements he talent in tying these flies. Steve’s easy going and generous style never fail to impart some new piece of knowledge. I’m sure you’ll pick up a few tips.
This month we’ll be meeting at Armando’s Restaurant, 47 Stony Hill Rd, Bethel, CT. The doors open at 7 and as always we’ll have pizza and soda. A cash bar will also be available.
Swap Table: If you have something you’d like to sell or swap bring it to the meeting and place it on the swap table. Stop by the table to see if there are any bargains to pick up!
Raffle: As always we’ll be running our raffle. You can find a fly box (perhaps with a few flies), hats, maybe even a six-pack of beer or a bottle of wine. Who knows what Kit will cook up for this month’s raffle. Stop by and find out.
