January Meeting: Jim Krul, What in the world?
• January 14, 2014 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm
When we invited Jim Krul, Executive Director at Catskill Fly Fishing Center and Museum, to speak at the meeting we knew we’d get something very entertaining, we just weren’t sure what exactly that would be.
Jim shot us an email with the subject:
Be prepared to talk about NO Big Fish, NO Fly Tying, NO Lodge Promotion, NO How to Fish Techniques. Have I got you nervous? Well I am.
Okay, so that strikes out four of the five topics we normally discuss at a meeting. So what in the world could we expect to discuss? Well that’s part of the magic of hearing Jim speak on the the topic of fly fishing.
Join us on Tuesday, January 14th for an evening program with Jim. who always presents an interesting program generally revolving around the topic of “What in the world of flyfishing is going on?”
Also note, this month, we’ll be having the meeting at Armando’s Restaurant, 47 Stony Hill Rd, Bethel, CT. The doors open at 7 and as always we’ll have pizza and soda. A cash bar will also be available.
Swap Table: If you have something you’d like to sell or swap bring it to the meeting and place it on the swap table. Stop by the table to see if there are any bargains to pick up!
Raffle: As always we’ll be running our raffle. You can find a fly box (perhaps with a few flies), hats, maybe even a six-pack of beer. Who knows what Kit will cook up for this month’s raffle. Stop by and find out.
