Farmington River Trip, February 10th

February 10, 2013 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm

On Sunday, February 10th the chapter will host a mid-winter trip to the Farmington River. This will be a good opportunity to see the river under winter conditions, discuss the fishing opportunities during cold water and fish a bit.

We’ll gather at noon in the parking lot at Mathies Grove in Pleasant Valley, CT.

If the weather is pleasant we’ll decide on an angling plan and head out. If folks are interested we can even do a bit of a stream walk on some of the more popular sections sharing lore about the fishing.

If the river is up and the weather is foul, we’ll  still be there, you’re welcome to join us. We can still walk the river, chat, and if nothing else, wander over to the fly shop and pick up a new rod or two. The only thing that will cancel is a solid snow storm that makes the roads dangerous.

Shoot Steve Zakur an email at stevezakur [at] gmail [dot] com if you’re interested but also feel free to come along if the mood strikes you at the last minute.

Dress for cold weather and cold water. Hope to see you there!
