Chasing Salmon River Steelhead | November 16 & 17, 2010

We are wade fishing the Salmon River for steelhead on November 16 and 17, 2010 with two anglers per guide. All eight of the seats are reserved as of September 14. New registrants will go on a wait list.
Presently the guides who have these days reserved are Greg Liu and his partner; Loren Williams; and John Dembeck; for a total of four guides and 8 anglers.
If you wish to go, please send a completed copy of the consent form below and a $100 nonrefundable deposit check (made out to CVTU, and with no date entered on the check) to Gary Whipple at 121 Route 37, New Fairfield, CT 06812. Advance warning will be given before the checks are deposited. The deposit date depends on when the guides need the deposit. A second nonrefundable deposit will be required before the end of July 2010.
I will identify a place for us to stay once we have a number of reservations. Individuals will be responsible for room reservations and roomates.
BIG eggs…orange, pink , chart, blue, yellow, maybe white…#6 and #8. No small stuff. For streamers, I like them BIG and I feel naked without pink, black and purple. I like tubes or cut shanks with a stinger. I like them in the 3′-5″ range with lots of movement–not too heavily dressed. If the water is good (1200-1500) then you might need 10-15 foot heads of T8 or T11. If it is 750 or less then short heads or polyleaders.
